Historic Congressional Committee Hearings and Reports

This guide will point you to publications of the United States Congress (House of Representatives and Senate) available online and in libraries.

Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Subcommittee to Investigate the Administration of the Internal Security Act and Other Internal Security Laws

While not as well known as its counterpart in the House of Representatives, the House Un-American Activities Committee, the Senate, too, investigated internal security issues, the main one at the time of the passing of the Internal Security Act in 1950 being the issue of Communist infiltration and the potential for a takeover by the Soviet Union.
