Suffolk Deeds

Suffolk Deeds

Massachusetts barely has county government.  There are a few duties of counties, and they are mostly overseen by the Commonwealth.  That said, Suffolk County and the City of Boston used to have a close relationship, owning in no small part to Boston having the bulk of the county's population.  Starting in 1880, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Boston ordered the transcription and publication of the records of the Suffolk County Registry of Deeds covering the period 1629 to 1697.  The following are scanned copies of the published work.

More information on the Suffolk County Registry of Deeds, including access to recent (1973 to date) can be found at their website, https://massrods.com/suffolk/.
