These function essentially as directories of the employees of the Boston Public Schools.  They are also good for looking at the organization of the schools, as the volumes provide information on staffing levels at the schools.

The BPL does not hold the following volumes: 1940, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1948, 1950, 1951, 1953 – 55, 1957 – 59, and 1961 – 64. 

This is a set of bound documents released by the School Committee in a given year.  Often, it includes the annual reports, but there are other items in the collection.
