These microfilm sets attempt to duplicate everything published in England or in English anywhere in the world through 1800. Access is through the English Short Title Catalog. Works published in the 18th century are available full-text in our digital collections.
This bibliographic database, when complete, will contain a record for every letterpress item printed in England or any of its dependencies, in any language, 1473-1800, or in English anywhere else in the world during that period. Each record includes a list of all libraries known to hold copies of the item, as well as references to microfilm and other facsimile versions The database is being constructed in partnership with the British Library, the American Antiquarian Society and over 1,500 libraries across the world.
