Mayor's Office For Immigrant Advancement
The mission of Mayor's Office for Immigrant Advancement is to strengthen the ability of immigrants and Boston’s diverse cultural and linguistic communities to fully participate in the economic, civic, social, and cultural life of our great City. They work to promote the commemoration and public understanding of the contributions of immigrants to Boston.
The office provides public education to inform immigrants about City services, information, and referral to community services, as well as information in conducting outreach to immigrant groups. They conduct on-going outreach, including surveys to identify concerns and problems that immigrants face in Boston. They also work with City departments to better reach and serve diverse cultural and linguistic communities and create a welcoming multicultural environment.
